EDMONTON — Edmonton International Airport has bumped Calgary as the most efficient small airport in Canada, according to the B. C-based Air Transport Research Society.
The ATRS, located at the at the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business, said Thursday Edmonton’s 144 per cent jump in non-aeronautical revenue between 2001 and 2008 helped it finish ahead of Calgary and Ottawa.
Vancouver ranked fifth in efficiency in North America among large airports.
