More fares shifted to Tango

Recommended Posts

Effective September 24, 2013, AC swirtched a number of booking classes from Tango to Flex further widening the gap between the two fare classes:

- Booking classes S and W will now be sold under the Tango fare option for all international travel, including Sun destinations.

- Booking Class K will now be sold under the Tango fare option for travel within Canada, for travel between Canada and the United States, and between Canada and Sun destinations.

- Booking classes T and L will now be sold under the Tango fare option for travel to Sun destinations.

If you want to go to Europe on an upgradeable fare it is now much like flying to Asia - bank on paying roughly a $900 return premium to then get to play Aerolotto.

I have a latitude pass for my wife and I due due to a pending grandchild but I think I will buy another one as that seems to be the minimum entry price now for easy upgrades.

Judging from the posts on flyertalk, lots of former loyalists have had enough of this nonsense.

I flew them the other day YEG-YYZ-YEG and nothing special other than watching a fellow get an upgrade and then unceremoniously get moved out of Exec Class to Row 13 because a captain decided to fly. Warned him that he better check his e-ups account because he didn't even get a new boarding pass. All he could say was how rudely it was done.

We still note that everyone of the transcons you take are on AC:rolleyes:

Like the whiners club of phonies who have all said they left but still fly Ac whenever possible. AC flights are all very full.

Big deal. For years I have flown the Central Canadian Carrier to add to my UA miles account. 90% of my paid-out-of-my-own-pocket-without-business-expense-deduction-abuse is on other carriers including WestJet anywhere in Western Canada.

The only phoney I know is the one who posts 'facts' without substantiation. Look in the mirror and you might recognize him.[/u]

You wouldn't know an airline fact if it hit you dead on. Yo might not know other facts either. 16,000 SE's and growing can't be wrong. It really pisse you off that A) they ignore YEG when they can and B) they are once again pulling away from WETJET in terms of growth. In fact WETJET is really sucking up AC exhaust as they try to keep up but only get the entrails left behind.

AC's enterprise value is growing and they are showing serious signs of sustainable profitability, with lots of cash in the bank, which really pisses off the bottom feeders and cheaters. You are all a bunch of socialist losers.

Now the FT losers are saying the bad news will come next year because they can't make their lies work this year. Next year will bring on new whining over another perceived slight to their simple minded egos.

I guess that explains why AC's market value is ~$1 billion compared to $3.2 billion for WS.

Mirror is pretty scary isn't it?

Math gets in the way of parnel's 'facts.'

My math is fine. Your comparisons are wrong. I wasn't comparing enterprise value just BIS that AC is focusing on while they re-build their market cap. I would advise you to follow the trend.http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/financials/financials.asp?ticker=AC/A:CN
