Cathay Pacific to launch Premium Economy on 777-300ER from Mar 2012

As per 20AUG11 GDS inventory and seat map display, Cathay Pacific starting March 2012 is introducing 3rd version of Boeing 777-300ER configuration. The 347-seater, dubbed as “77G”, features Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class. First Class service is not offered.

At time this post goes to press, currently assigned 77G route feature Premium Economy is Hong Kong – Toronto, starting 02MAR12. Additional routes to be rolled out in the coming months.

Planned Operation and Seating Configuration and corresponding remarks as follows:

Using BA points it should be 50% of the economy point price. Could be quite attractive for a reward flight using my BA points.

I'm not sure that's what you asking, however. :D

i wasn't asking that but it is a good point as i also have a lot of BA miles although i suspect mine will be confiscated for trips to LHR :)

This seems to suggest that CX thinks YYZ is basically a bottom feeder market.

Essentially same number of seats as AC with a couple less business class. Where is the room for PE going to come from?

Aren't the CX Y seats fixed back? Fewer Lavs, less galley space needed (no first class).....just a few thoughts !
